Norwich is home to the Norfolk and Norwich University (NNUH) Hospital; one of the biggest trusts in the country, employing more than 10,000 staff. Norwich Research Park hosts over 40 companies as tenants. Many of these were formed from research developed at the world-leading institutes located at the Park. The community includes 30,000 talented people, including 3,000 scientists and clinicians. As well as the NNUH and UEA, institutions located at Norwich Research Park include the John Innes Centre, Earlham Institute, Quadram Institute and The Sainsbury Laboratory.

Healthcare professionals are spoilt for choice in Norwich and the surrounding areas. Over 20,000 people work for the NHS in Norfolk, including clinicians like doctors, nurses, and physiotherapists, as well as corporate support functions like HR, Finance, IT, and Marketing. The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital is one of three acute hospitals in Norfolk (alongside the James Paget in Gorleston, and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn). Within Norwich, community healthcare is provided by Norfolk Community Health & Care NHS Trust (NCH&C) and mental health services are provided by Norfolk & Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT).
